What a GREAT Day!

What a GREAT Day!

Wow! Who knew turning 10 could be so much fun?!?!?

Huge thanks to everyone who helped out so wonderfully today as Living Water thanked God for his provision of the first 10 years of our mission here in Wagga Wagga.

I especially loved the photos! How many of our saints are now on the other side of eternity, and how many have we released into ministries well beyond our local reach?

Again…huge thanks all around!

As we move into this week…some quick notes…

  1. Zoom Bible Study Catch-up – we’ll be picking up a few loose ends from Exodus 5 & 6

  1. Sunday 2nd July is another wonderful day…Morning Tea & our Giving Beyond Ourselves is Destiny Rescue…the group that rescues children from the sex-trafficking trade. It’s just unfathomable what some folks in developing countries go through just to find ways to feed their families and Destiny Rescue is God’s hand in breaking those chains of slavery. As always…great opportunity to be exceedingly generous.
  2. The celebration continues… If you haven’t yet shared your LWF “special memory,” Bible verse, or “prayer point” please do. We’ll have the handouts available for another week or so & then we have plans for some fun ways to incorporate them into worship. You don’t have to have been around for the whole journey, just share what you love, what you’re praying for and a place God is speaking to you.

This morning as I was reading my devotions…I was blessed by 2 Chronicles 14:11. God’s people are under attack from a massive enemy army. They’re outnumbered something like 2 to 1 and it doesn’t look good. The King (Asa at that time) cried out to God, “O Lord our God, no one but you can help the powerless against the mighty! Help us O Lord our God for we trust in you alone.”

What an amazing prayer. “God…we’re up against it here…and you’re all we have. We trust you’ll help.” And God routed the enemy.

How often do we as God’s church seem outnumbered, overpowered, or insignificant in the world? The tide of culture and history seems to flow against us on a regular basis. It’s precisely at that moment that trusting God fully and wholeheartedly is so essential. We cannot out pray God’s ability to answer. We cannot out need God’s capacity to grant abundantly. The battle ultimately is God’s and he has already claimed victory over every foe.

Live that triumph this week!

John
