Welcome to Daylight Savings!

Welcome to Daylight Savings!

Welcome to Daylight Savings! (and a holiday long weekend)

I’m hoping to get this out early so we all have time to remember to adjust our clocks FORWARD this Saturday night.
And we’ll be in the Guide Hall at 10:00 a.m. and all things being equal…we hope to have the video sermon piece up by then as well. Barring unforeseen tech hiccups.
I’m still thanking God that we’ve only had a couple of those over the course of these months of isolation & lockdown.

Let’s keep praying this all ends soon and our political leaders see fit to move from fear to freedom…
In Christ we’ve already been given that assurance, now we just have to show the rest of the world how you live that way in the face of every threat.

So…for this weekend:

And Finally…
Zoom Bible Study Catch-up
Tuesday – 9:30 a.m.
Join Zoom Meeting

https://us02web.zoom.us/j/89416139161

Now…Zoom has added some new security features…I guess that’s to protect our privacy or something.
BUT…when you log in starting this week (might even have happened last week too?) you will go into a “waiting room” & then I will let you into the meeting.
So…there’s going to be a bit of a delay when you log in…that’s the way this security feature works I guess. But…be patient I’ll be there as quickly as I can.

Oh…I’ve been reading Isaiah…chapters 25 & 26 are two of my favourite
Is 26:3 really grabbed me today…
You will keep in perfect peace
all who trust in you,
all whose thoughts are fixed on you!

Think on that one when you’re grappling with fear or stress or worry…you don’t have to be in that spot when you can be in a place of “perfect peace.”

And this one from Is 8:12-13
“Don’t call everything a conspiracy, like they do,
and don’t live in dread of what frightens them.
Make the LORD of Heaven’s Armies holy in your life.
He is the one you should fear.
He is the one who should make you tremble.
He will keep you safe.”

There’s always a reason to be afraid if you want to go looking for one.
But there’s even more reason to trust the God who promises to keep you safe.

I’ll see as many of you as I can Sunday…and a few more will see me on the internet. 😉

Peace
John
