Into the week ahead!

Into the week ahead!

Blessed Monday y’all!

And what a beautiful last few days we have had!

I was able to get the BBQ fired up & the yard mowed…so you know it’s been a great Father’s Day weekend.

As we move into the week ahead…a few things on the horizon bear special attention.

  1. A Special Guest @ St. Martin’s College at CSUTony Rinaudo (AM) is the Principal Climate Action Advisor for World Vision & more importantly, a Christian, committed to caring for the creation. His faith spurs his passion for the environment. He is the author of “The Forest Underground: Hope for a Planet in Crisis.”

More information is available here: https://www.australias.guide/nsw/event/intellect-with-tony-rinaudo/

Or…just walk through the door: Friday 9 September at 7pm at the Fairfax Centre (building 382), St Martin’s College, Dargin Way, CSU Wagga Wagga

Supper will be provided and the event is free. (Donations gratefully accepted.) And there’s always time for Q & A afterwards, so come on out & bring your thinking caps.

  1. No Zoom Bible Study Catch-up this week. I’ll be taking Aine back to Uni for her third term. I’ll be back before you know it…but not before the regular Zoom time. Save your questions & we’ll make up the difference the following week!
  2. Prayer Meeting – Saturday, 10 September @ the Guide Hall @ 10:00 a.m.
  3. Praying for one another…Over the next few months we’re going to have a number of our families away overseas. Living separated by an ocean from one’s family is pretty tough sometimes, so even if you’re not sure who’s going to be gone…God knows, so please pray for our long long long distance travellers…safe journeys, joyous homecomings, and a speedy healthy return.

I don’t think I’ve forgotten anything…but if I have I know how to reach you!

As a follow up from Sunday…another Martin Luther quote: “For what is asserted without the Scriptures or proven revelation may be held as an opinion, but need not be believed.”

OH…I knew there was something else…A week or so back I mentioned I’d done a brief Father’s Day interview for the Christian College. I was one of at least 4 dads they interviewed. I’f you’d like to see the edited version of my interview, they did a good job of making me sound coherent. 😉 You have to scroll down a bit…and go farther down for the other dads. They’re all pretty good…and some of those little kids are cute. My children have all grown past the “cute” stage…good kids, just not quite cute any more. https://www.facebook.com/WaggaWaggaChristianCollege/

Enjoy the grace the flows abundantly to you this week.

John
