A full ministry agenda

Blessed ANZAC Day to each of you!

I’m going to share a few quick reminders…but each of these pieces of information are really about how you & I have opportunity to serve & care for others in the name of Jesus in the coming weeks.

We care for Alf & Elaine Dudley’s family through Alf’s funeral service Wednesday – 26th April – 2:00 p.m. @ St Paul’s Anglican, Turvey Park.

We’ll care for their wider circle of friends at the The Gardens Function Centre (Wagga Botanic Gardens) immediately following the service.

We have a chance to care for each other through the study of God’s word at our

Zoom Bible Study Catch-up – Friday – 28th April 2023 @ 1:00 PM  —  Join Zoom Meeting  —  https://us02web.zoom.us/j/83586782734  —  Meeting ID: 835 8678 2734

We’ve been invited to learn how to care for God’s creation with our gospel co-workers from Wagga Baptist Church…

Creation Care Ministry at Wagga Baptist Church is hosting “Living with an Electric Vehicle”
When: Saturday – 29th April
10:30 am cuppa & displays to view,
11:00 am presentation
Where: Wagga Wagga Baptist Church Hall
Presenter: Rob Mollenhauer

We’ll care for one another through worship this coming Sunday as God cares for us through his word & the gift of his supper. As we experience God’s presence we’ll be strengthened to care for those around us. In fact, this would be another great Sunday to invite someone you haven’t seen in a while or someone you’ve been wanting to invite.

Then we’ll have an excellent opportunity to care for Les & Doreen Neumann’s family through Les’ funeral service Tuesday – 2nd May – 2:00 p.m. @ the Alan Harris McDonald Mortuary Chapel

Immediately following the service, WE (Living Water) are hosting an afternoon tea for the gathered worshipping mourners in the Function Room at the Mortuary.

Since we are the hosts of that afternoon tea, we’ll have some details this Sunday about you can help. I’m fairly confident many of those wheels are already in motion & for that I am delighted, but we’ll firm up those plans between now and then.

We’ve got a full ministry agenda and I haven’t even started listing the people you care for regularly in the normal course of your week…the prayers you pray that undergird & extend the work of Christ in our community…the compassion & kindness you offer in the name of Jesus…the generous gifts you offer again and again…So thank you. You are God’s faithful people and there is no power on earth that can stand against the power of the resurrected Jesus in you. This week we get to share that hope through tears of grief and songs of assurance.

Looking forward to leaning into Christ’s strength with you this week.

John
