Happy Friday y’all!

 

A few quick reminders and then let’s all get out & enjoy this beautiful early Winter weather…rain’s sure to come soon & the cold will set in like it’s supposed to.

1. GBO this Sunday for CareVan. Be ready & be generous!
2. GBO for June 6th is our Biggest Morning Tea to support the work of the Cancer Council. Yep…we’ll do morning tea!
3. Mother’s Day is May 9th…Gents…give your wife a day-retreat to support her growth in Jesus Christ. EQUIP 21 is coming June 19th. Get the details in worship and surprise your lovely lady with something she’ll never forget!
4. The Generosity Project…a video-led Bible Study starts May 13th at our place…7:30 p.m. Don’t miss this one. Sign up Sunday!

You often hear me say that the Old Testament universally points us toward Jesus.

Today’s example:

2 Samuel 14:14 – “All of us must die eventually. Our lives are like water spilled out on the ground, which cannot be gathered up again. But God does not just sweep life away; instead, he devises ways to bring us back when we have been separated from him.”

Does that perhaps sound like…

1 Peter 3:18 – “Christ suffered for our sins once for all time. He never sinned, but he died for sinners to bring you safely home to God.”

Rejoice in how God keeps his promises & reunites sinners like us to himself through Jesus Christ.
