Welcome to a new week y’all! Or at least the Tuesday part of it. I trust you’re managing to stay warm, or at least finding a sunny patch in your house to enjoy!

I really enjoyed reading the FIRE magazine again this week…There is fertile field for planting & harvesting for the gospel in our wider world & this is one way we support that.

Can you believe it’s already July? We’re half-way to Christmas! I would normally laugh at myself for saying that…but I’m regularly reminded that what I thought I had time for may not be as much time as I thought. So…if there’s someone you wanted to forgive…do it now. Someone you need to reconcile with? Do it now. Someone who you know lives outside a life-giving relationship with Jesus? Now is the time to ask them to consider exploring that with you. Someone you know you need to be praying for…now…do it now.
As I was getting into reading the book of Hebrews this weekend, this verse Hebrews 2:9-10 grabbed me: “By God’s grace Jesus tasted death for everyone. And God, for whom & through whom all things exist, chose to bring many children into glory; and it was fitting that he made Jesus through his suffering the source of their salvation.” It’s as straightforward as that Jesus’ suffering, death & resurrection open for us the gate into eternal life with the Father.
From before time began until after time ceases to be a thing…Christ is the source, author, & pioneer, Saviour & King…the One through which we are claimed from sin, death & the powers of hell into life in the Father’s presence forever. He is our hope joy & peace. He alone our guide, help & security. What we have to offer to those we love is that which lasts for ever & transforms each daily moment. Don’t wait to share that with someone.
